Vehicle Processing Center - AEC, a global automotive solutions provider and exporter of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) brands Dodge and RAM, is expanding its production facilities and warehouse in the Port of Antwerp, doubling its capacity.
With sales of Dodge and RAM vehicles continuing to decline, global automotive supplier AEC has opened a new facility at the Port of Antwerp. An additional vehicle processing center (VPC 2) allows approximately twice as many vehicles to be ready for deployment. Modifications used in AEC facilities range from technical changes to lighting, marine systems or towbars to the use of coatings below OEM standards. The company operates one of Europe's largest installations outside its manufacturing facilities for winter vehicle maintenance, salt or road debris. These are all part of AEC's technical activities, which are ultimately managed by regulatory bodies.
